I have mentioned in the past, that I consider myself a tool nerd. I believe in buying quality tools, within reason. There is the odd Snap On/tool truck piece here and there, but those are random loosies I managed to pick up at garage sales and whatnot. My wrench collection is mostly Craftsman and Master Mechanic, but was surprisingly lacking in bigger sizes, especially in the metric side. Most of my big wrenches came from a hilariously cheap no name set, that was made in India.
Si, when I happened upon a Black Friday special at Home Depot of the biggest gadamn combination wrench set I have ever seen, for under $50 to boot, I went for it.
This afternoon I finished rearranging the wrench board to fit it all. I am quite pleased. Many much wrenches!
I thought Oppo might be interested in the modifications I made to my surprisingly nice Harbor Freight tool cart.
Here’s the overall setup.

Very nice! Mine just live in two drawers of the toolbox (one inches, one metric).
I have one or two that look like your squiggly one as well.

Approval stamp. The stickers have earned additional approval stamps. You may have tool groupies delivered soon to your garage

That sounds right. My tool box has a 10mm tall and short socket, in both 3/8 and 1/4 inch drive, a 10mm wobble socket in 3/8,. For wrenches there are 2 10mm combination wrenches, a 10mm/8mm six-sided box and a 10mm/8mm offset six-sided box wrench for brake bleeders, a 10mm stubby wrench and a 8mm/10mm combination flare wrench. There's a 10mm hex socket, too.

I used to do that. I had a much bigger tool box, but was always unhappy with how inefficient I felt like it was. I was perpetually reorganizing it, but never happy. I sold it, and bought this cart. It has all the basics in it. I like that I can roll it out to the driveway, as that's usually where I'm working on my truck.
Specialty stuff is in a couple of drawer organizers I built. I’ll have to show those sometime.

Yep, 3-4 is just on the board. There are at least 4-5 more in the cart.

I’ve got a Husky set, too. I picked up the Gearwrench ratcheting wrench sets when they had deals on them at AdvancedAuto a few years back too. I used to have mine all out on pegboard, now they live in a drawer. Tools that were out in plain sight had a tendency to wander and not be there when I needed them!

Interesting. I have the opposite problem with wandering wrenches. On the board, I can see what's missing, and go looking for it.

I’d usually find them next to a wagon or balance bike when a toddler was playing pit crew. Haha.

Nicely done, it took five years but i finally got an appropriately sized toolbox for my tool collection this year. This upgrade was after using 2 smaller 3 piece units for years, it is so nice for all the tools to fit in o ne box and have a proper home.
